Motion Graphics For Designers
Advisor: Amy Auman

The EVA typeface by Vocal Type is derived from the Peronist and feminist movements in Argentina from the mid 1900s. The name of the typeface itself comes the first lady of Argentina and leader in womens rights, Maria Eva Duarte de Peron, known as Evita Peron.

This short reel displays the three styles of EVA and the lettering charactaristics that make it unique. The motion is accompanied by the song “Adios a Belgrano” by Mercedes Sosa, an Argentine musician that supported the Peronist movement.

Hi, I’m Sofía!

and this my resume in english :)
y en español :)
I am a recent Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design and Human-Computer Interaction graduate from Washington University in St. Louis. I come from a Colombian and Mexican family—or 'Colexican' as my mom calls it—and that mix really inspires my love for cross-cultural design.I’m passionate about using design to explore identity, create socially engaged work, and bring ideas to life through motion graphics. I also love working in arts education and am dedicated to advocating for more representation in the design world.
